Something positive about cycling in the Telegraph

Ok, it’s in the weekend section, not news or editorial, but given the checkered history of this sensationalist rag and cycling, you have to take what you can get.
Forget planes, trains and automobiles - if you want to get to know your city while having some fun, cycling is a fantastic way to travel.
The best part is that you can have a really good time without it costing an arm and a leg – even with the whole family along for the ride. All you need for a day out on Sydney’s cycle paths are your wheels, a helmet, water and perhaps a snack.
Once you know where to begin, you’ll be amazed at how many enjoyable rides there are to explore. We’ve found the 10 best trips for enthusiastic cyclists of all ages.
The majority are along dedicated bike paths, free of traffic, and pass through parks, along beaches and rivers, and via breathtaking lookouts.
Of course this works for the Telegraph, it fits with their view of cyclists not belonging on the roads, still the positive spin and imagery are a nice read. Thank you Mr. Telegraph.

Yeah, not a bad resource (although I take your point about the “bikes over there” message).
But is Sydney really so poor for bike paths that routes have to be “borrowed” from Newcastle, Gosford and Wollongong in order to make up a “Top Ten” list of Sydney’s Best Bike Tracks?
